The first thing we will ask you to do after after completing the set-up process is register staff to learn about and promote the program. Educating your staff and motivating them to promote the program is vital to the success of the program.

When you move to your administrative portal for the first time you will land on Your Sales Staff page. This page has a table of staff registered to promote the program. Chances are good that your name will be the only name on that page because you are registered as the person in charge of the program. The page also includes a button to Register Staff.

Everyone registered is assigned a unique discount code they can give to potential users of the program. When someone uses the discount code, it gives them a significant discount on the cost of the program and identifies the salesperson responsible for that sale. This allows us to attach that user to the salesperson so they can follow the users progress but it also allows us to pay a portion of the affiliate commission directly to the salesperson. The sales person is typically paid a commission on the weight loss program and the supplements that come with the program. If your organization also earns supplement commissions after the initial sale, the sales person can continue to be paid on those as well. Paying commissions initially provides motivation to make the sale while continuing to pay commissions on supplements provides motivation to follow the users progress to keep them on track. Having a staff member follow a users progress increases the user's chances of sticking to the program and reaching their goal.

Setting Sales Commission Form

The form on this page allows you sets the commission or commissions salespeople will earn when someone makes a purchase using their discount code.  Staff become independent sales contractors for Core-22 so sales commissions are paid directly to staff by Core-22.  At the end of the year, staff earning more than $600 will be sent the appropriate tax forms for filing their taxs so you don't have to deal with the sales revenue they receive.

Take a second to review the form and the default sales commission settings. You can see the total commission available for the weight loss program and supplements, the portion that will be paid to sales staff if you choose to leave the default settings as they are, and the remainder that will be paid to the affiliate organization.

Default Settings

The default sales commissions are those we know will motivate salespeople to promote the program and follow the ongoing progress of the users that sign up with their discount code.  You can leave the default amounts or change them as you like.

The amount you set today will be used for any staff who register before the settings are changed. The settings can be changed at any time from a link on the page used to register staff.  Just click the link to Change Sales Commissions. Anyone that registers after they are changed will automatically earn the new commission structure.

Override Commission

As soon as  the manager and/or department heads are registered, you can set the system to also pay them an override commission for sales generated from specific departments. You might want to consider this now because the override commissions come from the affiliate sales commission for the weight loss program, after paying the sales person.  Overrides are not paid on supplement sales. For example, the default commission for the weight loss program will pay the sales person $35 leaving $15 for the affiliate. That means you have $15 available to pay override commissions.

If you want to set an override commission, wait for the department head to register, click on the edit link next to their name, scroll down to the override section, choose a position you want them paid an override for, and an amount. This will pay them that amount when anyone registered from that department makes a sale. If someone works in multiple departments, the override is paid on the department they indicate as their department when they register. This too can be edited using the link next to their name.
