Still Hungry?

You might experience some hunger for the first week or two on the program. This is because you are eating less and not eating the things you enjoy most. However, after the first week or two, hunger should subside. This is one of the reasons most of the people on the program stay on it long enough to reach their ideal weight.

A lack of nutrients is the primary cause of hunger

If hunger persists after the first few weeks, ask yourself: are you following the food plan, eating meals as directed, and taking all the supplements consistently? If not, try harder. Losing weight is a skill. If you keep trying, you will develop that skill and be able to not only lose weight but control it too.

Until You Find The Cause

If you are experiencing more hunger than you can handle, try drinking a full glass of cold water each time you feel compelled to eat. If you still feel the urge to eat, choose something from the approved food list. Cheating with anything else can increase your blood sugar, produce inflammatory water retention, or add calories that stop your progress. Green vegetables are best if you must eat something because they have the most nutrients and the fewest calories.

Cravings and Habits

Consider the difference between a desire to eat something you love, something that takes away the bordom, with hunger. Sweet deserts, chips, cake, bread, and soda, are things you might crave because you like the way they taste. They are comfort foods that make you feel good. If you are in the habit of eating them, and now you are not, the craving can seem a lot like hunger.

If you are dealing with a craving or an eating habit, the solution is not more nutrients; it’s more grit. It takes 30 days to eliminate the habit. So resist as best you can. The longer you do, the less intense it will be until it stops completely.

Giving into a craving during the weight loss phase of the program will make losing weight much more difficult. If you have a craving, acknowledge it for what it is, and do your best to resist. Remember to drink water as a first step. Then, if you must eat something, at least choose something from the approved list.

Your grit and determination will determine your success.
