Tablet Operation Instructions

Before you can place your iPad on the counter, you will need to connect it to your wireless network.

The tablet will not be able to connect to any websites other than those used to purchase the Core-22 program.

If you have more than one tablet, each will be set to the URL of a specific location. Please make sure you put each tablet in the location posted on the box the tablet came in.

IPad Stand – Simply set up on your front desk where members can’t miss it.

The webpage will display best when the tablet is in a horizontal position.

Front-Enclosed Security Stand (Alternate to above)

Caution: When you place or remove the tablet from the stand, tilt the housing back to prevent the tablet from falling out. You will need to open the security housing. Use the key (attached to your charging cord) to open the lock. Remove the key when the lock opens.

Remove the door by gently opening the door and feeling for the hinge to unleash. Do not force the door to open. Look at the hinge on the side of the stand to see how it works and how to remove it without damaging the hinge. The webpage will display best when the tablet is in a horizontal position.

Turn on the iPad

Push and hold the long flat single button on the edge of the tablet.

Note: Choose “Not now” if prompted to complete setting up One Touch, Siri, etc.

Note: Choose Cancel, if asked to connect to iCloud

Enter the iPad pass code “111111”.

Connect to your wireless network

Click the Settings icon, Click Wi-Fi, Choose the name of your particular wireless network, Enter the password

Click the Home button (Round dime sized indent on the face of the iPad)

Start the Kiosk Pro Software (This has been set to display your specific Core-22 URL)

Click on the Pro Kiosk icon to start the kiosk software.

Kiosk Pro Password: 1111 - If you need to change Kiosk Pro settings, hold a finger on all four corners of the display and you will be asked for a password. Use 1111

Keep the iPad battery Charged

Note: Don’t let your tablet go dead or you will have to start over again. You may need to use an extension cord to get power close enough to the tablet that your charger cord reaches the stand. We have tried using longer charging cords. Because they are longer, they lose power and the tablet will not stay charged.

There is no need to shut off the iPad at night, it uses very little power and will not be damaged if left on.

If the tablet does discharge completely, recharge the battery, open the security stand and press the start button located on the edge of the iPad. Follow instruction above.

Replacing the iPad Charger - Caution: If the charger or charging cord becomes damaged, order a replacement from the Apple store or authorized resellers like Best Buy.

Be Aware - If you purchase a replacement charger or extension line from any source other than Apple, especially online sources, they may not be sufficient to keep the iPad charged and may very well cause a fire hazard. There are chargers sold online (Amazon for instance) that say they are guanine Apple accessories. Most if not all, are not. They may look exactly like the Apple product but do not have the same technology or power output no matter what the companies selling them say. Go to Apple for a replacement.
